Color Viewing Lamps
Graphiclite® Color Viewing Lamps for Critical Color Viewing and Inspection per ISO 3664
Printing, packaging, photographic, and other graphic art industries have adopted ISO 3664 as their international standard for viewing color. ISO 3664 specifies a color temperature of 5000K and spectral power distribution of CIE D50. D50 (5000K) is a near white light source and has similar amounts of red, green, and blue energy. It neither accentuates nor subdues color, a prime requirement when press sheets, original images, or printed material since they usually have many colors within the product to be evaluated.
ISO 3664 requires that viewing conditions meet strict specifications with regard to color quality, light intensity, evenness of illumination, viewing/illumination geometry, and surround conditions. The best way to ensure that you meet these requirements is to use a color viewing booth that conforms to the ISO 3664 standard. All GTI Graphiclite color viewing systems are compliant with the ISO 3664 standard.
The lamps are the most important part of the viewing booth. GTI’s inhouse spectroradiometric laboratory and a 100 percent measurement and verification process guarantee that our lamps consistently deliver an excellent match to the D50 spectral power curve.
All GTI Graphiclite light booths are offered with GTI’s D50 LED lamp technology. Fluorescent lamps are also available for all booths and for customers that need to relamp.
